"HAVE I LIVED FOR HIM THIS WEEK"

I wanted to ask MYSELF this question today. "Have I lived more for Him this week, or more for me?" Have I been able to spend time in prayer this week thanking Him for ALL He has done, or asking forgiveness for how I have let Him down. I think this is something that we all go through from time to time. But its the very weeks that we spend more "in the world" , than "in His word" that we get down and out! We carry around all the junk of this life, and it takes our focus off of Him. " It is impossible to live a Spirit - filled, God - driven life when the only time surrendered to Jesus is an hour long slot, a few times a week. We just cant set aside 1 hr a couple times a week to worship, and praise our "Risen Savior"!! When we get to church on sunday we should be overflowing with praise from having honored God with our life all week long! It is impossible to live my life on my terms all week long, and then go to church on sunday and expect to jump right into worship. ALL of our life, ALL week long, should be worship! Everything we do should be intended as worship of God. It cannot be confined to a sanctuary. Worship is life.

"Think about seeing Jesus smile..... Now think about your life as being the reason He is smiling....... Is there any greater motivation?" I have been praying the last few weeks for God to consume EVERY part of my life! I would like to be able to please Him with all I do!! I dont want to reserve certain parts of my life for me...... Its ALL His! For me to have Him in every part of my life, everything I hear, everything I watch, everything I read, everything I think, needs to be related to Him! ( Philipians 4 : 8)

Keep this in mind this weekend -- I am not my own! I am entirely His!

1 Corinthians 6 : 20 - " For ye are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are Gods"

See you sunday,

Jody
